WORKOUT WEDNESDAY: INTERVAL TRAINING
So this week I'm going to introduce interval training to you all. Interval training is possibly one of my favorite types of training to do. I love it simply because it is a form of cardiovascular exercise that facilitates weight loss (quickly might I add). I've been intermittently doing interval training over the past year and I've lost a great deal of body fat by doing so. This type of training can be done with different types of exercises. We'll keep it simple and discuss running with interval training.
I personally like running in intervals. I run at a 60 second to 30 second ratio. I sprint for 30 seconds and walk at a quick pace for 60 seconds. I repeat this cycle as many times as I can, until I can't go any further. I then record the amount of times I repeated that cycle or total my time, then use that as a means to build upon as the week goes on.
