Nigeria Part II
Nigeria is definitely a patriarchal society, ran primarily by religion. Everywhere you look from the business names, to the public bus company names, to the people themselves, religious symbols are prevalent. There are regions of the country that are harsh and poverty stricken, but these humans have so much strength to overcome. They are the true definitions of grinders and hard workers. They are rugged because their surroundings reflect that same rigor. It is the only life they know. Nigeria is a country so lush with greenery, vegetation and beautiful people. Natural beauty. It's as if Mother Nature perfectly crafted this land. High mountains, rich fresh fruit, and sun-kissed smooth deep dark skin. I'm proud. I'm proud that I come from a land and lineage with so much culture, a country where my ancestors and parents worked so hard so that me and my siblings would never have to want for anything. I'm so thankful. And I'm proud to be Nigerian.
