Wanted to talk about embracing who you are and loving yourself. Confidence is a term that gets thrown around all the time, but what does it really mean to be confident? Confidence is loving the person that you are, flaws and all. Confidence is being unapologetically yourself. Confidence is keeping your head high even when you fall down and get your ego bruised. Confidence is stepping out of your comfort zone. Confidence is staying true to your ideals and beliefs, even when opposed. Now confidence waivers; it fluctuates and depreciates, but it's always there and evolving. It is a state of mind that needs to be practiced and exercised. And it is so important to do so.
I want you to do this exercise for yourself today: walk into your room or bathroom, any place of solitude, with a mirror. Look at yourself and list 5 things you love about your appearance and 5 things you love about your personality. Write these words down on sticky notes and paste them on your mirror. Read these statements out loud and really appreciate the being that stands before you in the mirror, because there is NO ONE like her.
Confidence is key to learning to love yourself. Exercise it everyday, and take steps towards loving the wonderful person you are.
